Iura Orientalia: on-line review
Iura Orientalia is an on-line review; i.e. it will be possible to download the studies from internet.
We plan to publish 1 issue of Iur. Or. per year.
The policy of Iur. Or. is to promote its studies free, so it will be only to have an internet connection and then to click on the article to download it. Therefore to read a paper is sufficient to click on the summary. All the studies are composed and saved by Adobe-Acrobat Reader.
To send a study, is easy: just write by email to the redaction and before writing it it is necessary to see the methodology. The Redaction will provide to organize the file with a PDF format [Adobe Acrobat Reader]. If there are particular fonts, please write us it with a prev. email and send us the font.
Iura Orientalia a "door" for the Orient
Iur. Or. would like to be also a "space" or a "Portal" for everything connected with Law and Orient. For this reason inside there is a section called: "Bibliography" ; hence it will possible to read news of meetings, congresses and all sort of bibliographical news concerning the "object" of Iur. Or. but also other interesting news about books, book-reviews, etc.
At last there is a Links page. There will be possible - with a simple click - to go directly to other sites of interest.
Iura Orientalia: a scientific "service"
For all these reasons, we think and hope that Iur. Or. can be a "service" towards the scientific comunity and in particular for all the Orientalists.
In particular, with the spending of the time, we hope that Iur. Or. can be a concrete possibility to publish - by internet - for the younger scholars and researches.
Iura Orientalia: the structure of its organization
The Organization of Iur. Or. is very easy and light.
There is a Scientific Commitee, with a few number of professors, a Director and a Board of Redaction.
The task of the Director is to coordinate the project and to gather the Scientific Commitee; under his direction there is the Board of Redaction with logistic jobs.
The "Office" of Iur. Or. is in Rome inside the Pontifical Oriental Institute - Faculty of Oriental Canon Law.
